Hurricane Michael

On October 10, Hurricane Michael made landfall in the Florida Panhandle near the coastal community of Mexico Beach. With maximum sustained winds estimated to be 155 mph, Michael was nearly a Category 5 storm when it struck. Hurricane Michael is the strongest storm to hit the U.S. mainland since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
