Webinar: U.S. Hurricane Season Preview
In this webinar, Dr. Michal Clavner will kick off the 2019 U.S. hurricane season by offering AIR's perspective on the indications of current climate signals and what academic and meteorological institutions are predicting for this season. She will also discuss the ongoing impacts of recent hurricanes and innovations taking place throughout the (re)insurance and modeling industry that will enhance risk management practices.

Dr. Michal Clavner joined AIR in 2016 as a Scientist in our Research Department. Previously, Michal was employed at the Department of Atmospheric Science Cloud Processes Group at Colorado State University as a Graduate Research Assistant, where she used a mesoscale cloud resolving numerical model to analyze severe weather events. She also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Earth Science Institute at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, where she performed statistical analysis examining the trend between air pollution and forecast tropical cyclone intensity errors in the Atlantic Basin. Dr. Clavner earned her B.S in Geophysics and Planetary Sciences from Tel-Aviv University in Israel, her M.S in Atmospheric Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and her Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University.
