Did you know that a severe hailstorm can cause hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to property and almost none to crops? While property is vulnerable year-round, hail will cause little to no crop damage in early spring—when fields have not been planted yet. In 2014, users of AIR’s CATRADER® software will be able to seamlessly combine their crop and property portfolios to simultaneously estimate hail damage to both.
