Srinivas Kondapalli

Srinivas Kondapalli is a member of AIR’s Flood Research team. He has more than 10 years experience in development of catastrophe risk models worldwide. His responsibilities include the collection and analysis of hydro-meteorological and elevation data sets, and the analysis and validation of hydrological and hydrodynamic models. He contributed to the development of AIR’s inland flood models for Germany, United States, Poland, and Japan and flood hazard maps for China, Thailand, Brazil, Canada, and India. He has worked on the enhancement of DTM quality for future models and contributed to the development of AIR’s cyclone model for India. He holds an M.S. in Water Science Engineering from UNESCO-IHE, Delft, Netherlands and an MBA specializing in Finance from IGNOU, New Delhi.
