Hurricane Odile

Hurricane Odile made landfall near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on September 14, at 9:45 p.m. local time as a Category 3 hurricane. Odile then moved directly up the center of Baja California, bringing strong winds and heavy rain. Damage was widespread and severe, with reports of the heaviest damage from Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. AIR surveyed the area of Baja California Sur south of La Paz two weeks after the storm to assess the damage to various risks.
