Analysis Management Pane

The Analysis Management pane contains the following fields and buttons that enable you to configure how Touchstone should run analyses; a subset of these fields may be available in the template.

Field

Description

Can Be Included in a Template?

Currency & Rate

Specifies the currency to use during the running of the analysis, as well as the exchange rate table—AIR Default or Euro-Based—to use when converting the summary results to the common currency. In the currency list, select the currency in which you want to run this analysis. In the exchange rate table list, select the desired exchange rate table.

This field is not applicable to Clash Analyses.

Yes (Detailed Loss Analysis and Hazard Analysis templates only)

Number of Cores

Specifies the minimum and maximum number of cores to use during this analysis. Enter the minimum and maximum number (as an integer) of cores that Touchstone can use for this analysis. For detailed loss analyses only, click Advise to open the Compute Resource Advisor, which helps you select the right number of cores to use.

Whether this field is enabled depends on how the administrator has configured the Minimum/Maximum Cores parameter when configuring the HPC Node Group Association. When both the minimum and maximum cores are set to "1", you cannot modify the number of cores for the analysis you are configuring.

A Detailed Loss Analysis that uses the ERN models runs using one core.
When you are configuring a new analysis, but not when you are creating an analysis template, a status message below the Min and Max Number of Cores fields indicates how many cores are currently available. Click to refresh this status message.

Yes

Scheduling

Specifies whether Touchstone should run the analysis immediately or schedule the analysis for a specific date and time. Select one of the following options:

       Import/Execute immediately

       Schedule on

If you select Schedule on, you must also choose the desired date and time for the job.

This field is only applicable for data import, as well as for Detailed Loss Analyses in Portfolio Mode. This field is not available for analyses in Underwriting Contract Mode.

No

Priority

Specifies the desired priority for this analysis. Select one of the following options:

       Low

       Normal

       High

       Top Priority

For detailed information about setting the priority for a job and each of the priority settings, see Setting the Priority of a Job.

Yes

Result Server

Displays the name of the server on which Touchstone will store the results of this analysis.

This field is only applicable to analyses that you run in Portfolio Mode and is not applicable to analyses that you run in Underwriting Contract Mode.

No

Result Database

Specifies the name of the AIR Result database on which Touchstone will store the results of this analysis. Enter a name for a new database or select an existing database from the list.

This field is only applicable to analyses that you run in Portfolio Mode and is not applicable to analyses that you run in Underwriting Contract Mode.

No

You can create and edit analysis templates to specify default settings for analyses. When you create or edit an analysis template, you can specify any of the settings indicated in the table above to include these settings in an analysis template. For more information about analysis templates, see Templates.
