New Hazard Analysis Pane

 

The New Hazard Analysis pane enables you to configure and run a Hazard Analysis on one or more exposure views or on a single contract in your project. Hazard Analyses enable you to identify the relevant catastrophe hazards for locations in your exposure data.

The New Hazard Analysis pane contains the following fields, areas, and buttons:

Field

Description

Analysis Target

Specifies the target(s) for this Hazard Analysis. To select multiple analysis targets, click the down arrow and select the analysis targets that you want to use.

  This field is only applicable to Portfolio Mode.

Template

Specifies the analysis template that you want to use for this Hazard Analysis.

Percent of Non-Geocoded Exposure

Displays the percent of exposure data that has not been geocoded. If the percent of non-geocoded data is high, you may want to fix your exposure data before running an analysis.

  This field is only applicable to Portfolio Mode.

Hazard Profiles

Specifies the following hazard profile settings for this Hazard Analysis:

       Earthquake

       Tropical Cyclone

       Flood

       Terrorism

       Severe Thunderstorm

 

Select the check box next to each hazard profile that you want to include in this Hazard Analysis. Then, click each hazard profile that you have selected and configure the corresponding profile settings. Clear the check box next to each hazard profile that you do not want to include in this Hazard Analysis.

Exposure Diagnostics

Specifies the exposure attribute settings that identify which exposure data to include in this Hazard Analysis. To apply exposure attribute settings to this Hazard Analysis, select the Exposure Attributes check box. Then, click Exposure Attributes and configure the corresponding settings. If you do not want to apply exposure attribute settings to this Hazard Analysis, clear the Exposure Attributes check box.

Event Intensities

Specifies the event intensities that you want to include in this Hazard Analysis. To include event intensities in this Hazard Analysis, select the Event Intensities check box. Then, click Event Intensities and configure the corresponding settings. If you do not want to include event intensities in this Hazard Analysis, clear the Event Intensities check box.

Analysis Management

Specifies how Touchstone should run this Hazard Analysis. Click Analysis Management and then configure the corresponding analysis management settings.

Analysis Name

Specifies the name that you want to assign to this Hazard Analysis. Leave the default name, which includes the exposure view name or the contract ID and the type of analysis, or enter a unique alphanumeric identifier for this Hazard Analysis.

  This field is only applicable to Portfolio Mode.

Run

Runs this Hazard Analysis using the settings that you have specified.
