Templates enable you to save analysis options so that you do not have to reselect a complex configuration each time you configure and run an analysis. You can use templates across projects. You can create, delete, copy (Save As), and update templates; refer to role permissions before you proceed. In some cases, you can also import and export templates.

You cannot delete the default AIR  templates. A lock icon next to a template in the templates list identifies the AIR default templates.

General Template Considerations

Analysis configuration panes include a Template list in the upper right corner. You can use the default template or select a different template.

Templates are available only in the business unit in which they were created.

Deleting templates does not affect any previously run analyses. The settings for the analyses are stored in the results.

You can import and export templates via text and/or XML formats.

The Object Manager validates the templates when you create them, ensuring that the rules in a template do not collide with one another as a result of duplication, overlapping perils, event parameter ranges, LOBs, and coverages.

Widget Template Considerations

You can configure the Loss Widget template and the Hazard Widget template to specify the default display for the Loss Results and Hazard  tiles that are used in the Contract Summary view in Underwriting Contract mode.

This feature is currently available only in Underwriting Contract mode. To use this object, you must have the appropriate analysis license. For example, you must have a Data Quality Analysis license to use a Data Quality Analysis template and a Hazard Analysis license to use a Hazard Analysis template.
