Activity Monitor

 

The Activity Monitor enables you to view and manage application activities. When you open the Activity Monitor, the ribbon contains an Activity Filters area and an Activity List area. Some functions in the Activity List become available when you select an activity with which the function is associated; for example, Open Destination Folder is only available for Results Export activities. The Activity Monitor grid includes a button that enables you to switch between the My Activities view and the All Activities view.

The Activity Monitor contains the following fields and buttons:

Activity Filters

Activity Type

Specifies which types of activities to display in the Activity Monitor. To filter the Activity Monitor grid to display only activities of one or more specific types, select the desired activity type(s) in the Activity Type list. To remove the activity type filter, click Select None in the Activity Type list. To remove all filters, click Clear .

Status

Specifies which activity statuses to display in the Activity Monitor. To filter the Activity Monitor grid to display only activities that have one or more specific statuses, select the desired activity status(es) in the Status list. To remove the activity status filter, click Select None in the Status list. To remove all filters, click Clear .

Submitted After

Specifies the initial submission date by which you want to filter the Activity Monitor grid. To filter the Activity Monitor grid to display only activities that were submitted after a specific date, select the desired initial submission date in the Submitted After field. To remove all filters, click Clear .

Refresh

Enables you to refresh the data in the Activity Monitor grid.

  Touchstone updates the contents of the Activity Monitor grid every 30 seconds. You can refresh the view manually at any time and should refresh the view when you want to see new content.

Clear

Enables you to clear all activity filters, including the Activity Type, Status, and Submitted After filters.

Activity List

Delete

Enables you to delete the selected activity from the list.

  After removing an activity from the Activity List, refresh the Activity Monitor grid.

Grid Filters

Enables you to display or hide the green grid filters row in the Activity Monitor grid that enables you to filter the Activity Monitor grid by one or more criteria.

Edit Activity

Enables you to change the priority of or schedule for a selected submitted or queued activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Resubmit Activity

Enables you to resubmit any selected activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Cancel Activity

Enables you to cancel a selected activity (submitted, queued, or running) in the Activity Monitor grid.

  The Cancel Activity icon is not available for activities whose type is "Delete".

View Log

Enables you to view the activity log for any selected activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

  To view logs in Touchstone, you must first configure Notepad or WordPad as the default application for opening text files on your computer.

View Analysis Results

Enables you to view the analysis results for a selected completed analysis activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Open Destination Folder

Enables you to open the destination folder for a selected completed results export activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Activity Monitor Grid

Total

Displays the total number of activities in the Activity Monitor grid.

My Activities / All Activities

Enables you to switch between the My Activities view and the All Activities view. The My Activities view lists only the activities that you have submitted. The All Activities view lists all the activities that have been submitted for all projects.

Activity ID

Displays the activity ID for each activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Name

Displays the name of each activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Type

Displays the activity type of each activity in the Activity Monitor grid. The Activity Monitor grid displays activities of the following types:

       CAT Loss Treaty

       Clash Analysis

Status

Displays the status of each activity in the Activity Monitor grid. Activities can have the following statuses:

       Canceled: The user canceled the activity.

       Completed: The activity completed successfully.

  In the case of an AIR ImportExpress activity, the Activity Monitor may display a status of "Completed" even if AIR ImportExpress has imported some locations and has rejected some locations.

       Completed With Exceptions: The activity completed successfully, but the end result is different than expected. The following table describes the meaning of this status for specific activity types:

Data Quality "parent" activity

Data Quality activities include sub-activities, such as "Augment" and "Validate." When you see this message, a sub-activity has failed.

Some tables failed to be copied.

Some data failed to be copied.

Exposure Summary

There are no locations.

Geospatial Analysis

The number of locations is zero.

AIR ImportExpress

No locations were imported.

Loss analysis (any type)

There are no results.

       Failed: The activity did not complete.

       Queued: The activity has been submitted and is now waiting to begin running. This status can indicate an activity that has been scheduled.

       Running: The activity is currently running.

       Submitted: The activity has been submitted.

Created Time

Displays the date and time at which each activity in the Activity Monitor grid was created, that is, submitted.

Scheduled Time

Displays the date and time after which each scheduled activity in the Activity Monitor grid is scheduled to run. To change the schedule for a scheduled activity that currently has the submitted or queued status, select the activity and click Edit Activity or right-click the activity and select Edit.

Priority

Displays the priority of each activity in the Activity Monitor grid. Activities can have the following priorities:

       Low

       Normal

       High

       Top Priority

Started Time

Displays the date and time at which each activity in the Activity Monitor grid started running. This field is not applicable to activities that have been submitted and/or scheduled but that have not yet started running.

Completed Time

Displays the date and time at which each activity in the Activity Monitor grid completed. This field is not applicable to activities that have been submitted and/or scheduled but that have not yet started running.

Duration

Displays the amount of time during which each activity in the Activity Monitor grid ran.

Project ID

Displays the name of the project associated with each activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Created By

Displays the user name of the user who created, that is, submitted, each activity in the Activity Monitor grid.

Resource

Displays the resource that Touchstone used to run each activity in the Activity Monitor grid. Touchstone supports the following resource for running activities:
