Engineering is Elementary Scholarship Fund

Engineering is Elementary (EiE), developed by the Museum of Science, is a curriculum that integrates engineering and technology with science. EiE aims to promote and introduce STEM in the classroom to a new generation of learners.

AIR began our partnership with the award-winning EiE program in 2015. Specifically, our scholarships fund development workshops that offer valuable assistance to teachers and schools seeking to introduce their students to an EiE curriculum in their classrooms. In addition, the funds enable teachers, who are eager to engage their students in engineering but are hindered by a lack of financial resources, to participate in training on curriculum implementation, purchase materials, and receive mileage stipends.

Over the past four years AIR has awarded the Museum of Science four grants totaling $60,000 to support Engineering is Elementary. AIR employees have also volunteered their time at the Museum of Science, making a significant contribution to the museum’s volunteer workforce.
