AIR is committed not only to ensuring that our existing clients derive maximum value from the models and software they license, but also that our new clients get up and running as quickly as possible.

Best-in-Class Service and Support

To that end, AIR offers a multi-tier approach to technical support that includes on-site training, telephone support (available weekdays in our Boston office from 8:30am to 5:30pm EST/EDT and in our London office from 9:30am to 6:00pm GMT/BST, with extended hours offered during renewal seasons) and dedicated internet websites.

A Variety of Events Across the Globe

AIR’s Spring Conference draws a broad audience and is a showcase for the latest science and engineering that underlie the AIR models. Distinguished guest speakers present new developments and directions in scientific research, while industry leaders provide insight into catastrophe modeling best practices.

Every autumn, AIR hosts a conference in Boston tailored specifically to users of our software systems. Attendees are introduced to new features and enhancements and a Solutions Center provides the opportunity for hands-on demonstrations. These events are also invaluable opportunities for the AIR Software Services team to hear directly from you—a critical ingredient into our efforts toward continual improvement.

In venues around the world, AIR hosts seminars that provide local and regional audiences with information about model launches, the latest enhancements to AIR’s existing suite of catastrophe models and systems, as well as updates on AIR’s own scientific research. In addition, AIR holds online seminars, or webinars, on a variety of timely issues of particular concern to clients, such as updates in the immediate aftermath of major catastrophes.

Comprehensive Education and Training Programs

Finally, AIR is acutely aware of the industry’s ever-growing need for skilled catastrophe modelers. To meet that need, AIR offers the AIR Institute Catastrophe Modeling Certification Program, a comprehensive course designed to give catastrophe risk management professionals a more detailed understanding of the science and statistics underlying the models and deliver intensive instruction in catastrophe modeling best practices.
