Provides Critical Location Specific Hazard Information The Hazard Analysis Module allows you to… Know the Hazards CATStation’s Hazard Analysis Module provides a quick means to assess the catastrophe and other hazards associated with property locations. The information accessed by CATStation is the same as that contained in the extensive hazard databases used in AIR’s state of the art catastrophe models. The module’s peril-specific details enable you to evaluate a location’s hazard characteristics and determine if they comply with your company’s underwriting guidelines. You can then make critical underwriting decisions knowing you have referenced the best hazard data available. Filtering and sorting capabilities allow the user to quickly identify locations in the highest hazard areas. Terrorism Profile The Terrorism Profile provides information on the nearest terrorist target from AIR’s Landmark Database, including distance and landmark type. Flood Profile The Flood Profile indicates the location’s proximity to the nearest 100- and 500-year flood zones, as well as distance to major water bodies. Earthquake Profile The Earthquake Profile provides risk scores for a “typical” building at that location based on 100- and 250-year return periods and the average annual loss. The profile indicates the location’s relative risk within the county and state, susceptibility to liquefaction, landslide potential, fault-zone information and distance to nearest historical earthquake. Hurricane Profile In addition to risk scores and relative risk, the Hurricane Profile indicates other related hazards including storm surge potential, distance from the coast, and distance to the nearest historical hurricane tracks. Severe Thunderstorm Profile The Severe Thunderstorm Profile provides risk scores, relative risk, and a qualitative description of the annual frequency to which the location is at threat from tornadoes, hailstorms and straight-line windstorms. The Profile also identifies the nearest historical events within 50 miles of the location.
