Loss-causing Australian bushfires tend to occur in clusters

January 23, 2014

A distinctive feature of loss-causing Australian bushfires is that they tend to occur in clusters-which can significantly exacerbate losses. Although some 10,000 bushfires occur every year, only about a dozen cause any property loss.
