Limit Type

One of the following types for this sublimit:

       B - Blanket Limit

       C - Limit by Coverage

       C100 - Limit by Coverage 100% Participation

CAI - Limit by Coverage with Assured Interest

CB - Combined, Including Time Separately

       E - Excess Limit

An excess sublimit is one in which the sublimit has an attachment point that is different from those in the policy/layer.

A blanket sublimit is one in which the limit and/or the deductibles is different from those in the policy.

If both the limit and the attachment point differ from those in the policy, use the excess sublimit.

For detailed information about the effects that each of the sublimit limit types has on the related sublimit fields, see Touchstone Limit Fields for Sublimits.

For a listing of the valid limit type combinations for sublimits, layers, and locations, see Limit Type Combinations.

Defaults to a value in the Touchstone user interface

If the associated layer limit type is CSL100 - Combined Single Limit 100% participation or CSLAI - Combined Single Limit Assured Interest, the limit type of this sublimit must be a subset of the layer limit type, that is, one of the following:

       C100 - Limit by Coverage 100% Participation

Applies To Locations

Defines the area (group of locations) to which this sublimit applies. You can select an existing sublimit area or create a new sublimit area.

When importing locations, Touchstone only includes these locations in the sublimit area if you have identified these locations properly with sublimit area codes in the location records.

If this sublimit applies to all areas, enter ALL.
