AIRReference Database
Description

The AIRReference database is used as a single destination from which the Touchstone application extracts information. For example, when specific construction class information is needed, Touchstone accesses the tAIRConstruction table within the AIRReference Database to extract the required information. Typically, each database table contains columns for the 1) code values (i.e. construction class code), 2) the name for the code (i.e. construction class name), and 3) a brief description (i.e. description of the code).

tAIROccupancyStores AIR occupancy class information.
tAppurtenantStructure

Stores the possible appurtenant structure types. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the appurtenant structure type associated with the exposure.

tAuditStatus

System table that is used internally by the Loss and Geospatial analysis engines to understand the status of the location in the location table.

tBasementFinishType

Stores codes used to identify whether a basement is finished.

tBrickVeneer

Stores the possible brick veneer percentage values. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the percentage of the structure that is constructed of brick veneer.

tBuildingCondition

Stores the possible building condition types. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the condition of the building that is associated with the exposure.

tBuildingExteriorOpening

Stores the possible percentages of a building’s exterior wall that is open.

tBuildingShape

Stores the possible building shape types.

tChimney

Stores codes used to identify whether a building has a chimney, and if so, the chimney height.

tColdFormedTube

Stores codes used to identify the presence of cold formed tubes in a building.

tColumnBasement

Stores the possible connection types between columns and basements for SRC and steel construction.

tCompanySize

Stores the possible company sizes for offshore locations.

tContentVulnerabilityStores information regarding the relative vulnerability of the contents within a building.
tContractTypeStores the possible contract types.
tConvertISOConstruction

Stores information regarding the ISO construction codes. This information is used to convert ISO construction codes to Touchstone construction codes.

tConvertISOOccupancy

Stores information regarding the ISO occupancy codes. This information is used to convert ISO occupancy codes to Touchstone occupancy codes.

tCountryStores information about the county in regards to whether it is modeled or an offshore location.
tCurrency

Stores the AIR currency codes.

tCustomFloodZone

Stores the customized flood zones. This is a location detail secondary modifier.

tDataSourceType

Stores the Touchstone data sources and the type of information they contain.

tDeductibleType

Stores the possible location, layer, and sublimit deductibles types.

tEnhancedGeoMatchLevel

Stores the possible geomatch level information.

To best interpret the EnhancedGeoMatchLevelCode in regards to the geocoding results, refer to the document Using Geocoding in Touchstone, which is available on the AIR Client Portal. This document provides details on how to use the EnhancedGeoMatchlevelCode, together with the GeoMatchLevelCode, to understand the quality of the geocoding results.

tEquipment

Stores possible quality levels for the bracing of a building. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the bracing quality associated with the exposure.

tExternalDoor

Stores the possible exterior door types.

tFIRMCompliance

Stores information regarding whether the building is in compliance with the FEMA flood zone requirements in design and construction.

tFoundation

Stores the possible foundation types of a building.

tFoundationConnection

Stores the possible connection types between the structure and foundation.

tGeocoder

Stores the geocode resources available in Touchstone. Some of these are available by license only.

tGeoLevel

Stores the geographic levels.

tGeoMatchLevel

Stores the possible levels at which a geocode match can occur.

To best interpret the GeoMatchLevelCode in regards to the geocoding results, refer to the document Using Geocoding in Touchstone, which is available on the AIR Client Portal. This document provides details on how to use the GeoMatchLevelCode, together with the EnhancedGeoMatchlevelCode, to understand the quality of the geocoding results.

tGlassPercent

Identifies the glass percentage values.

tGlassType

Stores the possible glass types used in a building.

tIBHSFortified

Stores information regarding the level of certification per the Institute for Business and Home Safety, which defines a structure's ability to withstand load resistance. 

tInternalPartition

Stores the possible interior wall types.

tISValue

Stores information regarding the measurement of the total seismic performance of a building, which accounts for all characteristics that affect the response of a building to an earthquake.

tLargeMissileStores the options used to determine the presence of large missiles within 100 feet of the structure.
tLatticeStores the possible lattice types.
tLayerConditionTypeDefines whether the layer is a sublimit or a sub-sublimit.
tLimitTypeStores the possible location limit types.
tManned

Stores information that is used to identify if an offshore platform is manned or unmanned. This is specific to offshore location.

tMultiStoryHall

Stores information regarding the presence of multi-story halls in the building.

tOccLimitType

Stores the possible limit types that can be applied to the layer and sublimit.

tOrnamentation

Stores information regarding the amount of decorative elements attached to the exterior of a building.

tPeril

Stores the possible perils that are available for use in Touchstone.

tPerilSet

Stores the possible perils sets that are available for use in Touchstone.

tPounding

Stores the possible distance values that are used to measure between two structures. If the distance is not adequate, the two structures may collide during earthquake shaking.

tProjectPhase

Stores the possible project phases. These are used to identify the current construction stage. 

tPublicProtectionClass

ISO analyzes community data (i.e. fire department, water supply, or emergency communications system) and assigns a Public Protection Classification (PPC) — a number from 1 to 10. Class 1 generally represents superior property fire protection, and Class 10 indicates that the area's fire suppression program does not meet ISO's minimum criteria.

This table stores the PPC codes.

tRedundancy

Stores the options used to determine the presence of multiple lateral load resisting elements in a building.

tReinsTargetType

Stores the target types associate with the reinsurance contract.

tReinsuranceTypeStores the reinsurance treaty types.
tRetrofit

Stores the possible retrofitting types.

tRoofAnchorage

Stores the possible anchor types that are used to secure the roof support system to the walls.

tRoofAttachedStructure

Stores the possible mechanical and other equipment that is attached to the roof.

tRoofCoverStores the materials used for covering the roof.
tRoofCoverAttachStores the connection types used to secure the roof covering to the roof deck.
tRoofDeckStores the material used to construct the roof deck.
tRoofDeckAttachStores the connection types used to secure the roof deck to the underlying roof support system.
tRoofGeometryStores the shape of the roof.
tRoofHailImpactResistance

Stores information about the roof's level of resistance in regards to damage from hail impact.

tRoofPitch

Stores the possible roof pitch values used to identify the slope of the roof.

tSealOfApproval

Stores the possible level of professional engineering attention given to the design of a structure.

tServiceEquipmentProtection

Stores information regarding whether the service equipment is protected from flood. 

tShapeIrregularity

Stores any possible types of structural irregularity for a building.

tShortColumn

Stores information used to identify the presence of short column in a building.

tSmallDebrisStores the options used to determine the presence of small debris within 200 meters of the structure.
tSoftStory

Stores information used to identify the presence of any structural weaknesses.

tSpecialConstruction

Stores the earthquake-resistant system types.

tStatus

Stores information regarding the status of each object in all applicable tables.

tStepTriggerTypeStores the possible trigger types used to apply step functions.
tSubmitStatusStores the possible contract submission status options.
tTallOneStoryStores the height options for a one story building.
tTank

Stores information used to identify the presence of storage tanks in a building.

tTerrainRoughness

Stores the possible condition (or categorization) options for the surrounding terrain.

tTorsion

Stores the layout options of the structural elements that may lead to torsional loads.

tTransitionInSRC

Stores information that identifies if the transition from SRC to RC, in columns of SRC construction, was smooth.

tTransverseFrameType

Stores the possible types of transverse framing used to brace offshore platform legs.

tTreeExposure

Stores the options used to determine the presence of trees; used to identify the tree hazard around a structure.

tUnitStores the possible units of measure.
tUserConstruction

Stores the possible user-supplied construction class codes.

tUserConstructionSchemeStores the possible sources (vendors) of the construction class codes.
tUserOccupancy

Stores the possible user-supplied occupancy class codes.

tUserOccupancySchemeStores the possible sources (vendors) of the occupancy class codes.
tWall

Stores the possible material types used in for the external walls of the building.

tWallAttachedStructure

Stores the possible structure types that may be attached to the primary building.

tWallSiding

Stores the possible siding types used for weather protection on the external walls of the building.

tWaterHeater

Stores the options used to identify the presence of bracing for the water heater.

tWelding

Stores the options used to identify whether welding occurs within the building.

tWindowProtection

Stores the possible types of protection used for the windows.
