AIRReference Database
Description

The AIRReference database is used as a single destination from which the Touchstone application extracts information. For example, when specific construction class information is needed, Touchstone accesses the tAIRConstruction table within the AIRReference Database to extract the required information. Typically, each database table contains columns for the 1) code values (i.e. construction class code), 2) the name for the code (i.e. construction class name), and 3) a brief description (i.e. description of the code).

Stores codes used to determine whether average properties are used during a Loss analysis.

tBaseFloodElevation

Stores the possible measurement ranges used to define the elevation, in feet above sea level, for the base flood options.  

tBasementFinishType

Stores codes used to identify whether a basement is finished.

tBrickVeneer

Stores the possible brick veneer percentage values. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the percentage of the structure that is constructed of brick veneer.

tBuildingCondition

Stores the possible building condition types. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the condition of the building that is associated with the exposure.

tBuildingExteriorOpening

Stores the possible percentages of a building’s exterior wall that is open.

tBuildingShape

Stores the possible building shape types.

tCaliforniaDOIZone

Stores the earthquake zones defined by the California Department of Insurance (DOI).

tCascadeDeleteOption

Defines data types that are removed for each delete option.

Stores information regarding the construction class codes when using the exposure data conversion tool (EDC). This information is used when using the EDC to convert RMS construction class codes for use in Touchstone.

tConvertEDCCountry

Stores information regarding the country codes when using the exposure data conversion tool (EDC). This information is used when using the EDC to convert RMS country codes for use in Touchstone.

tCountryStores information about the county in regards to whether it is modeled or an offshore location.
tCountryCurrencyXrefReserved for internal use, this system reference table is used by Touchstone to map currency to a county when exporting CLF and UNICEDE/2 files for CATRADER .

Stores the AIR currency codes.

tCustomFloodZone

Stores the customized flood zones. This is a location detail secondary modifier.

tDamagingSnowFrequency

Stores the possible frequencies in which snowfall results in property damage. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tDamagingWindFrequency

Stores the possible frequencies in which wind results in property damage. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tDataSourceType

Stores the Touchstone data sources and the type of information they contain.

tDateFormatStores date formats that can be used in .csv export files. 
tDBVersionDefines the version of the database.
tDeductibleOption

Stores information about the type of loss to which the deductible is to be applied.   

tDeductibleType

Stores the possible location, layer, and sublimit deductibles types.

tDemandSurgeOption

Stores information used to identify if the analysis includes demand surge.

tDemandSurgeRegion

Stores the regions details to which demand surge can be applied during an analysis.

tDQCountry

Stores country (and FIPS) information for use during a Data Quality analysis.

tDQRuleSetType

Stores the primary rule sets that can be applied during a Data Quality analysis.

tDQRuleSubType

Stores the specialized rules (sub rules) that can be applied during a Data Quality analysis. These rules are designed to only affect specific exposure data, such as Employee Count or Secondary Risk Characteristics.

tDQRuleTier

Stores the Data Quality rule hierarchy. Each rule belongs to a tier, this table aids in displaying the rule hierarchy on the user interface.

tDQScoringPerilOption

Stores information regarding which peril to use when determining a score during a Data Quality analysis.

tDQValueClass

Stores information used to identify augmentation location fields.

tEffectiveDistanceToCoast

Stores the possible options to measure the distance between the exposure and the closest water body, which includes oceans, very large lakes, and very large rivers. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tElevation

Stores the possible measurement ranges used to define the elevation of the exposure in relation to the mean sea level.

tEnhancedGeoMatchLevel

Stores the possible geomatch level information.

To best interpret the EnhancedGeoMatchLevelCode in regards to the geocoding results, refer to the document Using Geocoding in Touchstone, which is available on the AIR Client Portal. This document provides details on how to use the EnhancedGeoMatchlevelCode, together with the GeoMatchLevelCode, to understand the quality of the geocoding results.

Stores the possible types of annual EP curves that can be generated in Touchstone.

tEPCurveType

Stores the possible types of EP curve that can be generated in Touchstone.

tEPTargetType

Stores the possible exposure information (target) that can be displayed via the EP curve.

tEPType

Stores the possible information that can be displayed in the EP curve (i.e. Exceedance Probability curve or Tail Value at Risk curve).

tEquipment

Stores possible quality levels for the bracing of a building. One of these values is used in the appropriate location feature table to identify the bracing quality associated with the exposure.

Stores information for the types of event filters that can be applied to perils in Hawaii.

tExecutionPlan

Table used internally by SQL Server. When a user deletes data from Touchstone, this table identifies which information is to be deleted.

tExportStatusIndicates the status of result and exposure export activities.

Stores the possible information that can be exported in Touchstone. Used to define error codes in dbo.tValidationError Table.

Stores the possible Florida Wind Mitigation (FWM) exposure areas. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tFWMWindSpeedRegion

Stores the possible Florida Wind Mitigation (FWM) wind speed regions. This is used to determine whether locations in Florida locations fall within the wind speed ranges for the state-defined wind speed regions. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tGeocoder

Stores the geocode resources available in Touchstone. Some of these are available by license only.

tGeoLevel

Stores the geographic levels.

tGeoMatchLevel

Stores the possible levels at which a geocode match can occur.

To best interpret the GeoMatchLevelCode in regards to the geocoding results, refer to the document Using Geocoding in Touchstone, which is available on the AIR Client Portal. This document provides details on how to use the GeoMatchLevelCode, together with the EnhancedGeoMatchlevelCode, to understand the quality of the geocoding results.

Identifies the glass percentage values.

tGlassType

Stores the possible glass types used in a building.

tHailStormFrequency

Stores the possible frequencies in which hail storms results in property damage. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tHazardAttribute

Stores the possible the attributes of a hazard.

tHazardAttributeTableReferenceA reference table used to determine the possible attributes of a hazard.
tHazardAttributeType

Stores information regarding the possible hazard attribute types.

tHPCJobPriorityType

Stores the priority level options that can be assigned to an activity. This table is for reference only, the  job priority values are actually set in HPC job priority settings.

By default, jobs will be assigned “Normal Priority” (HPCJobPriorityID = 2000) and will be initiated in the order in which they are submitted if the following conditions are met:

  • Sufficient capacity is available
  • There are no other “High Priority” jobs waiting
  • The job has been scheduled to run “immediately” – or –
  • The date and time, if the job is scheduled, is after the user-selected run date and time if it was scheduled to run in the future

Jobs with “Top Priority” (HPCJobPriorityID = 4000) will be initiated if and when:

  • Sufficient capacity is available
  • There are no other “Top Priority” jobs waiting
  • The job has been scheduled to run “immediately” – or –
  • The date and time, if the job is scheduled, is after the user-selected run date and time if it was scheduled to run in the future

Jobs with “High Priority” (HPCJobPriorityID = 3000) will be immediately initiated if and when:

  • Sufficient capacity is available
  • There are no other “High Priority” jobs that were previously submitted and waiting
  • The job has been scheduled to run “immediately” – or  –
  • The date and time, if the job is scheduled, is after the user-selected run date and time if it was scheduled to run in the future

Jobs with “Low Priority” (HPCJobPriorityID = 1000) will be initiated if and when:

  • Sufficient capacity is available
  • There are no other “Normal” or “High” jobs waiting
  • The job has been scheduled to run “immediately” – or –
  • The date and time , if the job is scheduled, is after the user-selected run date and time if it was scheduled to run in the future 

Jobs that are already running will not be stopped and re-queued to start a higher priority job that is waiting.

Stores information regarding the level of certification per the Institute for Business and Home Safety, which defines a structure's ability to withstand load resistance.

Stores the possible groups of geographic areas impacted by specific peril sets identified by the Marginal Impact analysis options.

tImpactRegionPerilSetXrefSystem reference table used to determine the possible geographic areas impacted by specific peril sets. This table is not human-readable.

For example, the following sub-perils are associated with MainPerilSetCode "4" (earthquake):

  • 4 (earthquake)
  • 8 (fire following)
  • 12 (earthquake shake, fire following)
  • 128 (sprinkler leakage)
  • 8192 (tsunami)
  • 8196 (earthquake shake, tsunami)
  • 8200 (fire following, tsunami)
  • 8204 (earthquake shake, fire following, tsunami)
tManned

Stores information that is used to identify if an offshore platform is manned or unmanned. This is specific to offshore location.

tModelStores information regarding the models that are available via Touchstone.
tModelCountryXrefSystem reference table used to determine the countries that are covered by the model.
tModelCTGeoLevelMapping

Stores information regarding the appropriate aggregation of geocode levels for each model. This information is used to enable CLF export of detailed loss to be used in CATRADER.

tMultiStoryHall

Stores information regarding the presence of multi-story halls in the building.

tNonCatPerilGroupStores the ISO peril groups.  These are applicable for commercial, non-catastrophe analyses only.
tNonCatTemplateRule

Used for a Non-catastrophe analysis, this table stores information about the defined template rules (filter).

tObjectBUDefinition

Stores the options used to define how the map layer wizard is to retrieve the object(s) association with a business unit. This is used for managing custom map layers.

tObjectContextDefines the user mode, specific for underwriting or portfolio.
tObjectTypeA generic table to hold objects like templates and widgets which are added through the object management screen in administration console.
tOccLimitType

Stores the possible limit types that can be applied to the layer and sublimit.

tOrnamentation

Stores information regarding the amount of decorative elements attached to the exterior of a building.

tOutputDetailedAAL

Stores information regarding the possible targets to which the Average Annual Loss can apply.

tOutputGroupBy

Stores information regarding the categorization (grouping) of output. This table specifies how results can be aggregated before persisting into the database.

tOutputTable

Stores the database tables where the output is stored.

tOutputTableType

Stores the possible output table types to which the output is written.

tOutputType

Stores the possible types of output for each analysis type.

Stores the possible perils that are available for use in Touchstone.

tPerilSet

Stores the possible perils sets that are available for use in Touchstone.

tPerilSetXrefSystem reference table used to determine the individual perils that are associated with each peril set.  This table is used extensively for Geospatial analytics.
tPounding

Stores the possible distance values that are used to measure between two structures. If the distance is not adequate, the two structures may collide during earthquake shaking.

tProjectPhase

Stores the possible project phases. These are used to identify the current construction stage. 

tProvisionStatus

Stores the possible provisioning status options, which represent the stage in the configuration process for preparing a client's Azure account to run analytics in the cloud.

tPublicProtectionClass

ISO analyzes community data (i.e. fire department, water supply, or emergency communications system) and assigns a Public Protection Classification (PPC) — a number from 1 to 10. Class 1 generally represents superior property fire protection, and Class 10 indicates that the area's fire suppression program does not meet ISO's minimum criteria.

This table stores the PPC codes.

Stores the options used to determine the presence of multiple lateral load resisting elements in a building.

tReinsTargetType

Stores the target types associate with the reinsurance contract.

tReinsuranceTypeStores the reinsurance treaty types.
tRelativeRisk

Stores the potential levels of risk, portrayed as a percentage range

Stores the possible anchor types that are used to secure the roof support system to the walls.

Stores the possible mechanical and other equipment that is attached to the roof.

Stores the possible level of professional engineering attention given to the design of a structure.

tServiceEquipmentProtection

Stores information regarding whether the service equipment is protected from flood. 

tShapeIrregularity

Stores any possible types of structural irregularity for a building.

tShortColumn

Stores information used to identify the presence of short column in a building.

tSIDControlContains a list of all SID tables and the last SID value in use for each table.  After each insert operation, the SID value will update.
tSLWindStormFrequency

Stores the possible frequencies in which wind storms results in property damage. Used during the Hazard analysis.

tSmallDebrisStores the options used to determine the presence of small debris within 200 meters of the structure.
