Waldo Canyon Fire

The Waldo Canyon Fire started approximately four miles northwest of Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 23, 2012. By the time it was contained, the wildfire had killed two people, destroyed nearly 350 homes, and burned more than 18,000 acres in the Pike National Forest. Insured losses were estimated at USD 454 million.
