Oder Flood

A series of severe storms battered Central Europe during May and June of 2010. The result was devastating flooding in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. In Poland, two months’ worth of precipitation fell in one 24-hour period. The floods were responsible for the evacuation of more than 20,000 people and an estimated 37 fatalities.
